ADULT FORUM: Next Sunday, March 14, Patricia Gaines, Community Outreach Coordinator for Hospice of Cincinnati and Hamilton, will be with us to talk about Hospice. Karen Burnard will also be talking about planning for your “celebration of life” service before it is needed. Please join us for refreshments at 9:00 and the Adult Forum at 9:15 in the Undercroft.

GROUNDS CLEANUP: Initial Grounds Cleanup for spring, Saturday March 13. Volunteers are needed and wanted to ready our grounds and gardens for the spring season. Would you give 2 hours to trim, rake, cut back perennials, etc. between the hours of 10 am and 1 pm? Bring rake or clippers. Love Your Neighbor: Bake Chocolate! ECSF’s beloved Chocolate Fest is set April 17 at St. Thomas, Terrace Park. This is an unabashedly scrumptious Eastertide fundraiser with all proceeds going into grants to churches aiding people in need throughout the Diocese.
Hear ye: if ye bake well or have stuff, your talents and products are holy and needed now.
Here are three ways you can Do Good Through Chocolate:
• Donate a silent auction item by March 22 or have your business sponsor the event
• Enter the bake-off by April 5 with your favorite chocolate recipe
• Come, munch, and bid!
Celebrity chocolatiers Chip and Debbie Graeter, Randy Young of Aglamesis, and Matt Madison of Madisono’s Gelato – all Episcopalians – will award three grand prizes and we will also have the hotly-contested People’s Choice referendum with many winners. Get ready for fierce competition among congregations voting early and often for their contestants. But the Fest committee is claiming the high moral ground through teamwork. Terri Moorhead of St. Thomas serves as this year’s Fest Chair, aided by Bill and Margaret Nelsen of St. Barnabas, Peggy Lobes of Christ Church Glendale, Elizabeth Grover of Redeemer, Tom Cavill and Lou Scott of St. Thomas.
New this year: our auction goes online! The auction website is already live and we are adding new items every day for people to browse. Businesses donating goods and services have the potential for thousands of views over the next few weeks. Sponsor logos will be posted with a click-through to your company website.
